accio crowd!

Just a few of the 1200+ people who showed up at my neighborhood chain bookstore to get their Harry Potter at midnight.

I can't imagine standing out all night in line for anything. Don't people know they will publish enough books for everyone to get one?

We walked into our local Asda this morning and picked a copy up for a fiver [that's £5 around $10 or 7.5 euros] No need to queue or anything.

I have to say, I was #900 (or something) in line. It took me just under an hour to get my copy and on the way home, so it wasn't like I had to wait very long.

It was fun, though--the little kids dressed up as Harry Potter running up and down the line. Seeing so many people excited about the book was nice.

We decided to skip the book store line/ party this year... it was a hard choice to make... but the talk of leaks and spoilers was too much for us to take... so we ordered and waited.. and waited and waited...

Saturday I was regretting not picking it up the night before, but now that I've sunk my teeth into it a bit, boy oh boy.. I don't want to read ANYTHING that might hint at what is going on.. there is just so much in that book =)

my kids decorated the apt with HP signs of their own making =)
